Lions did not originate in East Asia. Not until the Han Dynasty have Chinese people learned these tiger-like big cat from the Western Regions. As many foreign envoys offered them as tributes to the palace, the general public could not see. The folk knew the lions just from the painting, sculpture or legend of Buddhism. Coming from the imagination, the Chinese lions have been evolving a kind of mythology. And their looks have become lovelier and funnier.

This design of men’s jewelry is inspired by the door ornament and guardian statue in traditional Chinese architecture. Although lions are the king of beasts, they have been used to guard the house for thousand years. It has been long enough. Now they are leaving the comfort zone, and going out to show the power with their master.
