Arista Lee’s Jewelry to Be Exhibited in Hong Kong
Of the 18 works selected as finalists in Open Group II, the highest category of the JMA International Jewelry Design Competition 2024, two are by Arista Lee. Both works will be exhibited at Tai Kwun in Hong Kong on October 26.
The JMA International Jewelry Design Competition 2024 recently announced a special public exhibition to celebrate the competition’s 25th anniversary. Finalist works from this year’s competition will be exhibited at Tai Kwun, Hong Kong’s renowned heritage and arts center, and will be open to the public.
Exhibiting at Tai Kwun Holds Special Significance
Located in the heart of Central, Hong Kong, Tai Kwun was formerly the site of the former Police Headquarters and Victoria Prison. The historic compound, dating back to 1864, was designated a heritage site and underwent a decade-long revitalization before reopening in 2018 as a contemporary arts and culture destination.
In 2019, Tai Kwun received an Award of Excellence from the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation, the highest distinction in the program.
An Exceptional Achievement for a Single Artist
Among the 18 works selected as finalists in the competition’s highest-level Open Group II, two works by Arista Lee were selected—an exceptional achievement in itself. Their exhibition at Tai Kwun on October 26 further marks a significant honor for the artist.
