Story Behind the Work

In Chinese, the character “舉” carries the meaning of flight, giving “鳳舉” the poetic sense of a phoenix taking flight in graceful, elegant motion.

This piece marks LUMIN GARDEN’s first detachable, multifunctional earring design. Meticulously crafted with four different ways to wear, it allows collectors to create different looks for different occasions. Unlike conventional earrings that primarily adorn the earlobe, the back of each earring extends upward toward the helix, creating a striking silhouette with an unmistakable sense of presence.

Inspired by the changing forms of wings, designer Arista Lee brings a sense of lightness and movement to the design. Like a phoenix soaring through the air, its wings appear to stir the surrounding currents with every graceful movement, capturing a delicate balance between elegance and power.

The center stones are emeralds sourced from Zambia and treated with only minimal oiling. Their rich, vivid color and exceptional transparency are complemented by full, candy-like forms. Among cabochon-cut emeralds, stones that combine such saturated color, clarity, and beautifully rounded proportions are exceptionally rare.
