Sowilo

Sowilo is a bespoke ring imbued with an exotic character and rich cultural symbolism. It was commissioned by a young and beautiful tarot reader with a deep interest in, and sensitivity to, the energies of the occult.

“Sowilo” is the transliteration of the Nordic rune “ᛋ,” which represents the sun. As a symbol of light and warmth, the sun held profound significance for the peoples of Northern Europe, where long winters were once marked by snow and ice. Its return represented the triumph of light over darkness, as well as the hope of overcoming adversity and achieving success.

Designer Arista Lee pairs spessartite with 18K yellow gold, bringing together shades of orange, yellow, and gold to evoke the radiant warmth of the sun. Geometric, symmetrical lines extend outward in a radial pattern, suggesting sunlight spreading in every direction. The design embodies a simple yet powerful belief: beyond darkness, there is always light—and with it, limitless hope and possibility.
