THE MOON ABOVE WILLOWS
The moon’s waxing and waning has always stirred humans’ emotions. In Eastern culture, people especially adore the shape of circle that stands for complete perfection. Hence, on the Lantern Festival, Lunar New Year’s first full moon, people hang lanterns and ribbons, and loving couples gather to enjoy the dazzling night; by Mid-Autumn Festival, family reunites to have moon cakes while admiring the full moon together.
The necklace, named “The Moon above Willows” uses golden South Sea Pearl as the main stone with 18K Gold tassels dangling below, individually representing the clear moon and the weeping willow. It symbolizes that when the luminous full moon rises above willow trees, it is the perfect moment for family or lovers to be together and celebrate the beautiful holiday.
